जॉस (नाइजीरिया) : मध्य नाइजीरिया में एक स्कूल की इमारत ढहने से छात्रों समेत 21 लोगों की जान चली गई, जब छात्र परीक्षा दे रहे थे, जिसे स्थानीय अधिकारियों ने &quot;टाली जा सकने वाली त्रासदी&quot; बताया, सीएनएन ने यह खबर दी है.

नाइजीरिया की राष्ट्रीय आपातकालीन प्रबंधन एजेंसी (एनईएमए) के अनुसार, पठार राज्य की राजधानी जॉस में दो मंजिला इमारत ढह गई, जिससे घायल 30 अन्य लोग अस्पताल में भर्ती किए गए हैं. एनईएमए ने मृतकों में छात्रों की सही संख्या नहीं बताई है.

120 लोग फंसे थे, गवर्नर जताई गहरी संवेदना

पठार राज्य के सरकारी अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जब इमारत ढही तो शुरू में लगभग 120 लोग फंस गए थे. सीएनएन की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, गवर्नर कालेब मनसेह मुत्फवांग ने विशेष रूप से सेंट एकेडमी स्कूल के छात्रों और कर्मचारियों के परिवारों के प्रति गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त की, जो इस हादसे से प्रभावित हुए है.

पठार राज्य सरकार ने एक बयान में कहा इस घटना को रोका जा सकता था, जिसमें स्कूल के कमजोर बुनियादी ढांचे और नदी के किनारे के पास इसके अनिश्चित स्थान पर चिंता जताई गई.

बिना किसी डॉक्यूमेंट और पैसे इलाज करने का निर्देश

आपात स्थिति पर प्रतिक्रिया करते हुए, उन्होंने स्थानीय अस्पतालों को बिना किसी दस्तावेज या कैश के बिना उपचार प्रदान करने का निर्देश दिया गया.

इसके अतिरिक्त, अधिकारियों ने क्षेत्र में इसी तरह के सुरक्षा जोखिमों का सामना कर रहे स्कूलों को बंद करने का आह्वान किया. 
सीएनएन की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, नाइजीरिया में इमारत गिरने के लिए अक्सर ढीले निर्माण मानकों और घटिया सामग्री के उपयोग को जिम्मेदार ठहराया जाता है.
