रायपुरः भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) ने छत्तीसगढ़ में हुए नगर निगम चुनाव में भारी जीत हासिल की है. पार्टी ने सभी 10 मेयर पदों पर जीत हासिल की है. दूसरी तरफ, देश की सबसे पुरानी पार्टी, कांग्रेस, को भारी नुकसान हुआ है और पार्टी को एक भी सीट नहीं जीती. ये चुनाव 11 फरवरी, 2025 को 10 नगर निगमों, 49 नगर परिषदों और 114 नगर पंचायतों में हुए थे.&nbsp;

इन चुनावों में भी बीजेपी का प्रभुत्व

आज घोषित परिणाम बीजेपी के पक्ष में गए हैं, जिसमें पार्टी ने सिर्फ मेयरल पद ही नहीं, बल्कि नगर परिषदों में भी अपना प्रभुत्व दिखाया है. 49 नगर परिषद सीटों में, बीजेपी ने 35 जीत ली, जबकि कांग्रेस ने सिर्फ 8 सीटें जीती. आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) ने बोदरी में एक सीट जीतकर अपना पहला कदम रखा और 5 सीटें निर्दलीय उम्मीदवारों ने जीती.

114 नगर पंचायत सीटों में भी बीजेपी का प्रभुत्व रहा और पार्टी ने 81 सीटें जीती. कांग्रेस को 22 सीटें मिली, बहुजन समाज पार्टी (BSP) को 1 सीट मिली, और 10 सीटें निर्दलीय उम्मीदवारों ने जीती.

भाजपा के एक चाय वाले प्रत्याशी ने मेयर पद जीता

वहीं, यहां से भाजपा के चाय की दुकान चलाने वाले मेयर प्रत्याशी जीवर्धन चौहान ने जीत दर्ज की है. जीवर्धन ने कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी जानकी काटजू को 34,000 वोटों के बड़े अंतर से हराया है. वह जीत का श्रेय रायगढ़ की जनता दे रहे हैं.

साथ ही उन्होंने सीएम विष्णु देव साय और रायगढ़ विधायक एवं राज्य के वित्त मंत्री ओपी चौधरी को धन्यवाद दिया, जिनकी वजह से उन्हें चुनाव लड़ने का मौका मिला. उन्होंने कहा कि वे रायगढ़ के महापौर के रूप में विकास का काम करेंगे.
