नई दिल्ली :&nbsp;दिल्ली में 1984 के सिख विरोधी दंगा मामले में कांग्रेस के पूर्व सांसद सज्जन कुमार के खिलाफ कोर्ट ने सजा पर फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया है. पीड़ित पक्ष ने सज्जन कुमार के लिए मौत की सजा की मांग की थी.

मामले की पृष्ठभूमि

1 फरवरी, 2025: दिल्ली की राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट ने सज्जन कुमार को दोषी ठहराते हुए मामला दर्ज किया. उन पर 1984 के दंगों के दौरान सरस्वती विहार में सरदार जसवंत सिंह और उनके बेटे तरुणदीप सिंह की हत्या का आरोप लगा था.

सज्जन कुमार पहले से ही दिल्ली कैंट मामले में आजिवन कारावास की सजा काट रहे हैं.

आगे की कार्यवाही

राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट के जज कावेरी बावेजा ने बचाव पक्ष को 2 दिन में लिखित दलीलें पेश करने का निर्देश दिया है. कोर्ट ने कहा कि 25 फरवरी, दोपहर 2 बजे के बाद सज्जन कुमार की सजा पर फैसला सुनाया जाएगा.

पीड़ित और बचाव पक्ष की दलीलें

वरिष्ठ वकील एचएस फुल्का ने 1984 के दंगा पीड़ितों के लिए ऑनलाइन अपनी लिखित दलीलें पेश कीं और मृत्युदंड की मांग की. 
बचाव पक्ष से अनिल कुमार शर्मा भी ऑनलाइन अपनी दलीलें प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं. 
मामले के तीन अलग-अलग केस

पालम कॉलोनी केस:

दिल्ली कैंट की पालम कॉलोनी में 5 सिखों की हत्या के बाद गुरुद्वारा जला दिया गया था.

इस मामले में सज्जन कुमार को दोषी ठहराया गया और 17 दिसंबर, 2018 को दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने उन्हें उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई थी.

सुल्तानपुरी केस:

सितंबर, 2023 में राउज एवेन्यू कोर्ट ने दिल्ली के सुल्तानपुरी में 3 सिखों की हत्या के मामले में सज्जन कुमार को बरी कर दिया था. 
इस मामले में CBI की अहम गवाह चाम कौर ने आरोप लगाया था कि सज्जन कुमार भीड़ को भड़का रहे थे.

सरस्वती विहार केस:

1 नवंबर, 1984 को सरस्वती विहार में सरदार जसवंत सिंह और उनके बेटे तरुणदीप सिंह की हत्या हुई. 
दंगाइयों ने लोहे की सरियों और लाठियों से हमला किया था और बाद में दोनों को जिंदा जला दिया गया. 
इस मामले में 12 फरवरी, 2025 को सज्जन कुमार को दोषी ठहराया गया. 
अन्य प्रासंगिक जानकारियां

1984 सिख विरोधी दंगों:

31 अक्टूबर, 1984 को प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या के बाद 1 नवंबर को देश भर में सिख विरोधी दंगे भड़क उठे. 
PTI के अनुसार, दिल्ली में लगभग 2700 लोगों की मृत्यु हुई और देशभर में मारे गए लोगों का आंकड़ा 3500 के करीब था.

नानावटी कमीशन:

मई, 2000 में दंगों की जांच के लिए जीटी नानावटी कमीशन का गठन हुआ. 
24 अक्टूबर, 2005 को CBI ने नानावटी कमीशन की सिफारिश पर केस दर्ज किया.

सज्जन कुमार का कानूनी इतिहास:

1 फरवरी, 2010 को ट्रायल कोर्ट ने सज्जन कुमार समेत अन्य आरोपियों को समन जारी किया. 
30 अप्रैल, 2013 को ट्रायल कोर्ट ने उन्हें बरी कर दिया था, लेकिन CBI ने 19 जुलाई, 2013 को हाईकोर्ट में अपील की. 
17 दिसंबर, 2018 को हाईकोर्ट ने सज्जन कुमार को पांच सिखों की हत्या के मामले में दोषी ठहराया और उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई.

दिल्ली सरकार की कार्रवाई:

दिल्ली सरकार ने 17 फरवरी, 2025 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट को बताया कि वह 1984 सिख दंगों के 6 मामलों में बरी आरोपियों के खिलाफ याचिका दायर करेगी. 
पीड़ित पक्ष और सामाजिक प्रतिक्रिया 
1984 के दंगों के पीड़ितों और उनके परिवारों ने इस मामले में कड़ा रुख अपनाते हुए न्याय की मांग जारी रखी है.

पीड़ितों का कहना:

कई पीड़ितों ने कहा कि यह मामला 21 साल बाद भी न्याय की ओर बढ़ रहा है, परंतु उन्हें उम्मीद है कि सज्जन कुमार को कड़ी सजा मिलनी चाहिए. 
सामाजिक प्रतिक्रिया:

1984 के दंगों के बाद प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने संसद में माफी मांगी थी.

फिल्मी हस्तियां और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता भी 1984 के दर्द को याद करते हुए गहरी प्रतिक्रिया दे रहे हैं.
