पटना (बिहार) : रूपौली विधानसभा उपचुनाव में एक निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार के जीतने के बाद, निर्दलीय सांसद पप्पू यादव ने शनिवार को कहा कि इस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में भाजपा के कट्टर समर्थकों ने भी जेडी-यू उम्मीदवार को वोट नहीं दिया.

रूपौली में एक निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार शंकर सिंह ने जीत हासिल की हैं. ​​उन्होंने जेडीयू के कलाधर प्रसाद मंडल को 8,246 वोटों के अंतर से हराया है. सिंह को 68,070 वोट मिले, जबकि मंडल को 59,824 वोट मिले.

राजद की बीमा भारती भी उपचुनाव हार गईं. उन्हें 30,619 वोट मिले थे.

पत्रकारों से बातचीत में यादव ने कहा, &quot;नीतीश कुमार की कैबिनेट ने अति पिछड़ी जाति की सीट को हराने की एक बड़ी साजिश के तहत यह काम (अनुसूचित जाति के कलाधर प्रसाद मंडल को टिकट देना) किया.&quot; उन्होंने कहा, &quot;भाजपा के कट्टर मतदाताओं ने जदयू को एक भी वोट नहीं दिया. राजपूत समुदाय के लोगों ने जदयू को 10 वोट भी नहीं दिए...&quot;

रूपौली में उपचुनाव मौजूदा विधायक बीमा भारती के इस्तीफे के कारण जरूरी हो गया था, जिन्होंने पहले भी कई बार जदयू के लिए सीट जीती थी, लेकिन हाल ही में उन्होंने पार्टी छोड़कर राजद के टिकट पर लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ा था.

गौरतलब है कि सात राज्यों की 13 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए मतगणना शनिवार सुबह शुरू हुई. तमिलनाडु, बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, पंजाब और हिमाचल प्रदेश की विधानसभा सीटों के लिए 10 जुलाई को मतदान हुआ था.

चुनाव आयोग ने तमिलनाडु, बिहार, पंजाब और मध्य प्रदेश की एक-एक सीट, उत्तराखंड की दो सीटों, हिमाचल प्रदेश की तीन सीटों और उत्तराखंड की चार सीटों पर उपचुनाव कराए थे.

इन निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में तमिलनाडु में विक्रवंडी; मध्य प्रदेश में अमरवाड़ा; पश्चिम बंगाल में रायगंज, राणाघाट दक्षिण, बागदा और मानिकतला; हिमाचल प्रदेश में देहरा, हमीरपुर और नालागढ़; उत्तराखंड में बद्रीनाथ और मंगलौर; पंजाब में जालंधर पश्चिम; और बिहार में रूपौली शामिल हैं.
